How the ratio is calculated
- Both sides are divided by their greatest common divisor. 1920 and 1080 share 120, so the ratio is 16:9.
- 800 and 600 share 200, so the ratio is 4:3.
- 1080 and 1080 share 1080, so the ratio is 1:1.
- The decimal is the width divided by the height. 16 divided by 9 is shown as 1.778.
- Use whole numbers from 1 to 100000. A comma is a thousands separator, so 1,920 is 1920.
