How the text is made
- The word list is the familiar lorem ipsum list, starting with lorem, ipsum, dolor, sit, amet.
- Paragraphs are 1 to 8. Each paragraph is four sentences, with a blank line between paragraphs.
- Sentences are 1 to 20. A sentence is 8 to 14 words, then a period. The first word is capitalized.
- Words are 1 to 200, separated by spaces, with no period added.
- With the classic opening on, the text starts “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet”. Turn it off to start with another word from the list.
This is filler for a mockup. It does not describe a product, and it should not be the published text of a page. When the layout is ready, replace it with the real subject. A word count of the finished draft belongs on the word counter.

What is lorem ipsum?
Placeholder text used to fill a layout before the real words exist. The familiar opening is Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet. The rest is shuffled from that same word list. It is not a translation and it is not an article.
Should I publish lorem ipsum?
No. Use it in a design or a draft preview. Do not publish it as a page, a product description, or a blog post. Search engines and readers need the real subject of the page.
